My studio teaching covers a variety of fields, including: urban planning (focusing on physical planning), urban design, landscape architecture, and architecture. Increasingly, my teaching in these core studio courses emphasize the interactions between environmental and social issues, asking: what issues can be solved through the (re)design of urban space and what issues necessitate a policy intervention? Lastly, in training both planners and designers, when are both perspectives and lines of thinking needed?
